I start “The Style Almost…” track with Ira Flatow from Science Friday, which is favorite podcast of mine and then just jump right into some old-fashioned DJ shit. That old wild style not completely careless cuttin’, scratchin’, mixin’, but yeah reckless, just doing it because it’s a different era and I don’t hear enough of this type of style. I don't hear it with the textures and sounds and the rhythms. And this live Jam Master Jay RUN-DMC joint is so raw. Made for this style. There are some mistakes in it and that’s fine. The point is that it’s “all the way live” as we used to say and “turnt up” as we say now. I had “HavenCredible”drops throughout and then I ended with Penn from Penn & Teller, which was a ill quote that describes me. This is a good way to end the first suite, the Orthodox Hiphop suite. Strong.
